OVER THE RAINBOW Marchesa, the line co-designed by Harvey Weinstein’s girlfriend Georgina Chapman, debuted its Fall 2006 collection at the Rainbow Room. While Nicollette Sheridan (pictured), Anne Hathaway, Nicole Richie, and Josh Hartnett all showed up, the all-evening-gown line felt a bit Designing Women circa 1986.

HITTIN’ THE SLOPES Trovata, the California-based clothingline, took over New York’s Supper Club and transformed it into a 1960sSwedish ski lodge, complete with yodelers and a German shepherd with abarrel around his neck. After a week of pretentiousness and posing, wegotta hand it to the Trovata boys for making us laugh.

THE TIPPI HEDREN POINT Mena Suvari, Anna Kournikova, HilaryDuff, and Giovanni Ribisi (pictured with, from left to right, an unidentified friend, author Candace Bushnell, Brandon Davis, and Nicky Hilton) wereall on hand as Y-3 held their runway show at Roseland Ballroom, thesame venue Gwen Stefani took over in the fall for her much-talked aboutL.A.M.B. production. Y-3 went off without a hitch, unless you count TheHitch — Hitchcock, that is. The director’s filmography was theinspiration for the creepy show, with feather-adorned models (a nod to The Birds), a color palette of mostly black, and Hitchcock clips projected on the wall.
