Sky Walking
Tom Jones, (Collins, $26.95)
Jones recalls his decade-long run as an active astronaut in the ’90s, revisiting the 1998 birth of the International Space Station. Nagging at NASA He decries NASA for sloppy shuttle malfunctions that caused the 2003 Columbia crash. Presidential Hospitality ”The president made us feel welcome,” Jones recalls of his crew’s visit with George W. Bush, and claims the Clinton administration neglected NASA. Bottom Line Although occasionally suffering from ponderous pacing, Walking provides enough detail to please most die-hard stargazers.
