-Call it Good Brief Hunting: Ben Affleck and Matt Damon (pictured) will reunite to play two real-life lawyers who spent 15 years working pro bono on a murder conviction appeal.

Nia Vardalos is writing Talk of the Town, to star her My Big Fat Greek Wedding producer Tom Hanks. It’s not clear whether the film is a comedy or a drama, but Vardalos tells Variety it’s about a ”man who is forced into a career change when he least expects it.” She’s also rewriting Revolution Studios’ script I Hate Valentine’s Day as a romantic comedy for herself. And she also has an idea for a Greek Wedding sequel, after being pestered for a follow-up ”all the time [by] my family and everyone I run into at a Starbucks.”

Terminator 3‘s Nick Stahl and Flightplan‘s Erika Christensen will star in heist comedy How to Rob a Bank.

-To direct its biopic of the Virgin Mary, New Line has hired Catherine Hardwicke, best known for her films about troubled teen girls (Thirteen) and skateboarders (Lords of Dogtown). The studio hopes to release the movie in time for Christmas.
