Who's making deals in the week of January 27, 2006 -- The biggest upcoming projects in entertainment

TELEVISION Congratulations, Ashton Kutcher! Your Beauty and the Geek reality show is a hit. Now go round up some unattractive women. The WB has okayed a switcheroo version of Beauty and the Geek, possibly for the ’06-07 season. This time, dumb, handsome guys will date brainy 4s and 5s who, via makeovers, are transformed into 9s. ”I believe we absolutely can find the cast to do the reverse,” says WB Entertainment president David Janollari. Hunky guys on The WB? Somehow, we think they’ll manage.

Is Curb Your Enthusiasm ending? ”I think we’ll do another season,” says costar Jeff Garlin. ”[Although] if you would have asked me three months ago, I would have told you no way.” Why’s that? ”I just closed a deal for my own show called The Jeff Garlin Program.” Wild guess: It’s about your life? ”It is about my life,” he says of the TBS series, ”but it’s on a soundstage and it’s not improvised. I’m doing it with Everybody Loves Raymond‘s Phil Rosenthal; hopefully, we’ll be on the air this summer.”
