Josh Lucas' ''Glory Road'' tops the box office. The basketball drama proves to be a hit over the MLK holiday

Glory Road, the basketball drama starring Josh Lucas, came in at No. 1 with $16.9 million. Close behind was the animated film Hoodwinked, a twisted but still family-friendly take on the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale, with a total gross of $16.8 million over the four-day weekend, according to studio estimates.

Queen Latifah’s comedy Last Holiday, came in third grossing $15.5 million in its first weekend of release.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and Hostel completed the top five with $12.8 million and $11.4 million, respectively. After six weeks in theaters, Narnia has grossed $264 million, placing it a No. 29 on the list of all-time top grossers. Within days it’ll overtake Shrek for No. 28.
