So apparently, U2 has a system in place for making sure Bono doesn’t spend too much time discussing politics and poverty during the band’s concerts. “When I do my rant on making poverty history, I have got Larry Mullen, our drummer, behind me looking at his watch, timing me,” the activist-singer tells the Associated Press. This, of course, refutes a hilarious piece of satire from The Onion last month, suggesting Mullen simply tunes out whenever Bono discusses ways to make the world a better place. Hmmm, does that mean The Edge (left, with Bono) doesn’t actually prefer backyard gardening to relief work, either?
