Stalkerazzi photographers will face stiffer penalties for overly aggressive behavior under a new law that went into effect in California this week. And while that’s great news for actors like Reese Witherspoon, Brad Pitt, and George Clooney, I wonder if it could spell the beginning of the end of careers for folks who are famous for nothing other than their tabloid appearances. I won’t kick of 2006 by naming names that regular PopWatch readers would like to see banned from this column, but wouldn’t it be great if this law led to a certain heiress disappearing from the public eye and taking a back-office job with her family’s hotel chain?
