Kudos to CBS, which has ordered a script for what would be the first all-Chinese-American primetime soap. Red Doors, about a suburban Chinese-American family consisting of a retirement-age dad and his three daughters, will be based on Georgia Lee’s indie film dramedy, which was a hit this year on the festival circuit. The daughters (played in the movie by Jacqueline Kim, Elaine Kao, and Kathy Shao-Lin Lee) range in age from 17 to 29, so put on your thinking caps and start helping CBS cast a pilot.
