Hey, given the year she’s had — culminating with letting her beau die of an overdose after she learned he’d killed her husband — wouldn’t you? Sharp-eyed DH viewers will notice that Cherry has been planting the seed for this one for a while, showing Bree knocking back a glass at stressful moments often over the past year or so (left). ”It’s going to get ugly,” Cherry promises. Ugly? Who wants to see Bree get ugly? It’s hard to imagine that even a drunken, out-of-control Bree would allow anyone to see her without a string of pearls and well-manicured nails. Which would be okay — alcoholism is so old-hat on primetime soaps that you at least want to see Cherry try something different.
