The Academy has released a list of 42 tunes written for movies that are eligible for the Best Song Oscar in March. I’m crossing my fingers for the Hustle & Flow songs to unleash some crunk at the awards ceremony, but I also think it’d be great if ”Do The Hippogriff” (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) or the hilarious ”So Long and Thanks for All the Fish” (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) made the cut. I also hope they nominate Sarah Silverman’s nasty nursing-home anthem ”You’re Gonna Die Soon,” just because I want to see her perform it in a designer gown at the Oscars, singing sweetly to the aged members of the Academy.

Any of your favorites snubbed? Which song are you rooting for?
