The New York Times has an interview with Stern’s East Coast replacement, David Lee Roth (left, in his fluffier days), who compares his future show (starting Jan. 3) with ”a really good Algonquin table.” (Yeah, right, but compared to Fartman’s gleeful vulgarity, even Diamond Dave’s show could sound like the witty banter of Dorothy Parker and Robert Benchley.) In fact, the former Van Halen frotnman knows he’ll never truly be able to replace the King of All Media. Choice quote: ”The only thing I have distinctly in common with Howard is a wicked sense of humor. And Hanukkah.”
Come January, will you be listening to Howard? To Dave? Both?
