Rico dropped dead on Six Feet Under, but the 30-year-old actor who played him is alive with naked ambition as an East L.A. gangsta in the bored-little-rich-girl drama Havoc.

Did you like playing a gangster? Hector’s a good guy at heart, just a product of his environment. That attracted me to him. I didn’t want him to be the typical tough guy. I wanted him to have some humanity. Were you taking a chance with this role? Yeah, I’m naked in this movie! I noticed! [Laughs] Everyone’s used to seeing me on Six Feet. I knew they’d be shocked. Any after-school-special messages? I want people to see this and know that rich, suburban kids who try to act street exist. And that people like Hector exist. And I want people to enjoy the ride. What would Hector’s tombstone say? ”This one’s for the homies.”
