MOVIES Multiculturalism rules! Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ken Watanabe, and Diego Luna will headline the cast of The Air I Breathe, a crime drama to be shot by Korean-American tyro director Jieho Lee….
Rosy-cheeked Brit Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake) is in talks to play outwardly sweet, inwardly evil Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Filming begins in February under the direction of David Yates.
TV Who knew cult director Darren Aronofsky was a fan of the boob tube? The Requiem for a Dream helmer has just signed on to direct an episode of ABC’s Lost, which will likely air at the beginning of May sweeps. ”It was one of those fantastic calls out of the blue,” says Lost exec producer Carlton Cuse. ”His agents let us know he liked the show, and we jumped at the opportunity. Elaboration, please? ”That’s all the information I’ve been given!” says Gosselaar. ”I’m not playing games or anything. I said [to Bochco], ‘Do you want me to change how I look or something?’ and he just goes, ‘We’ll see.’ It was the same when I received my role [on Blue]. But I trust the guy and know he’s going to take care of me.”
