Saturday Night Live fans can quit throwing things at Horatio Sanz. Tina Fey (left) is back — she’ll return to the Weekend Update desk Saturday — just six weeks after giving birth. What’s with the rushed return? “NBC has me under contract; the baby and I only have a verbal agreement,” she said in a press release. It’s no secret that the women of SNL have carried the show in recent years, but we don’t want to see any more of them carrying anything else anytime soon.

Which is why despite our joy for key player Maya Rudolph (whose firstchild with her husband, director Paul Thomas Anderson, is due inNovember), we wonder who’ll they’ll get to play Oprah, Condaleeza, Donatella Versace, and Beyoncé during her absence.

Oh, and Will Arnett, keep your hands off (um, your wife) Amy Poehler! We don’t care how funny Arrested Development is; we cannot risk another laugh-threatening estrogen deficiency around 30 Rock.
