Three new trailers to peruse:

Romance & Cigarettes “I think you’re dead sexy,” a carrot-topped Kate Winslet, left, says (in the most awesome Scottish accent) to James Gandolfini. “I want to kiss you, big man.” Hmmm, I thought this was a musical? A cavalcade of promising costars (Susan Sarandon, Christopher Walken,Steve Buscemi, Mandy Moore, Bobby Cannavale, and Mary-Louise Parker) all appear tobe on the verge of singing, although nary a note is sung in this frenetic trailer for director John Turturro’s romantic comedy.

The Big White Holly Hunter says that she’s not crazy. Which of course means that she is totally insane. Or, the movie asks, is she the only sane one in the room? Hard to say, though her husband (Robin Williams) has cooked up a crazy life-insurance scam that fails when the dead man (Woody Harrelson) shows up looking for a cut. Giovanni Ribisi, Tim Blake Nelson, and Alison Lohman costar. A Simple Plan with a side of Fargo.

Last Holiday “Georgia Byrd (Queen Latifah), you’ve just found out you have three weeks to live — what are you going to do?” “I’m going to buy a new wardrobe and model it in front of a boutique mirror during a film montage!” Fine, Latifah, if you must, but one of these days people are going to forget you were in Chicago — and remember that you were in Taxi.
