Tim Stack Did Vaughn really croak? He better have, because the whole I’m-dead-no-I’m-not twist got old two seasons ago. We’ve ”mourned” Will, Irina, Sydney, Emily, and two Francies. And while I appreciate the attempt to work Sydney’s pregnancy into the show, hiding her stomach behind a moving train is ridiculous. That’s what laundry baskets are for.

Jennifer Armstrong Alias is best when the personal and professional intersect — I love Sydney and Vaughn discussing baby names mid-mission — and her pregnancy made their cliff (shark?) jump all the riskier. The show’s a family drama wrapped in metaphoric spy intrigue, so it’s time Syd had a kid of her own (to screw up, naturally). Can’t wait for the bulletproof bassinet.
