Washington, D.C., may or may not be part of the reality-based community, but it’s certainly part of the reality TV-based community. Why, just yesterday, we learned that the White House sent First Lady Laura Bush to hurricane-ravaged Biloxi, Miss., in order to appear on an episode of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and we learned that the Supreme Court has agreed to hear celebreality pioneer Anna Nicole Smith‘s probate appeal over the fate of her late husband’s millions. Memo to the court: Could you please, just this once, allow TV cameras to cover the proceedings? And memo to Anna Nicole: When you’re talking to the justices, ”D’ya like ma bohh-dy?” is probably not a persuasive argument.
