Apologies to the Queen Mary

Hark, the indie angels sing: of Modest Mouse (lead Mouse Isaac Brock helped produce) and Arcade Fire (Wolf have opened for their Montreal homies); of jittery time signatures and strangled stop-go vocals. Apologies to the Queen Mary is the stuff fan-zine dreams are made of, and if it is very, very good without being spectacular, well, that’s okay. After all, the band is only two years old, and the jangly promise of tracks like album opener ”You Are a Runner and I Am My Father’s Son” is more than enough to go on.
