Nick Cannon, Roll Bounce

It’s easy to think of movie critics as old and stodgy, which may be why ’70s roller-disco homage Roll Bounce (which costars Nick Cannon, far left) sent so many of the back into their closets, rummaging for ancient puns and nostalgic references among the bellbottoms and polyester suits. Headline writers came up with surprisingly few variations on the word ”Roll” and even fewer on ”Bounce.” They did have fun with the name of the film’s star, the rapper/actor formerly known as Lil’ Bow Wow. Here’s a rink-side seat to today’s reviews:
