As usual, Carlos Santana‘s latest, All That I Am,features lots of high-profile guest stars for the guitarist, includingreturning Santana duet partner Michelle Branch (left, with Santana), Sean Paul, StevenTyler, OutKast‘s Big Boi, Mary J. Blige, Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am,Joss Stone, Anthony Hamilton, Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, Los LonelyBoys, and Bo Bice. The album hits stores Nov. 1.
–Kanye West is finalizing the details of his extensive Touch the Sky Tour, which begins Oct. 11 in Florida, at the University of Miami. According to USA Today, there are 45 dates so far (with more to be added), including Greenville, S.C.; Buffalo; Detroit; Baltimore; Memphis; Houston; Denver; and Las Vegas, winding down on Dec. 11 in Vancouver. Opening acts include Common, Fantasia, and Keyshia Cole.
-Say it ain’t so-wo-wo! Are Weezer breaking up? They’re committed to this fall’s co-headlining tour with Foo Fighters, but beyond that, no one in the band seems to know, not even frontman Rivers Cuomo, who tells MTV News: ”I don’t know what next year will bring. I have no idea.” Uh-oh.
