Celebs get scrappy!
MTV’s revival of Celebrity Deathmatch might be arriving just in the nick of time, what with Gwyneth Paltrow, Sharon Osbourne, and 50 Cent all taking their earrings off and throwing the first punches in a trio of star wars.
Paltrow snips in this week’s Time magazine that her ex-boyfriend, Brad Pitt, and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, could’ve avoided all the publicity about their breakup if they hadn’t been so open with the media about their romance in the first place. Osbourne, meanwhile, is admitting that she cut off Iron Maiden’s power supply during an Ozzfest tour date in California last month after the band’s frontman, Bruce Dickinson, insulted her husband on stage. And as for Fitty, that bleeped-out rant at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards was apparently a profanity-laced tirade against Fat Joe, who had made an earlier crack about G-Unit’s security detail. (And here I thought the rapper was berating Calvin Klein. I mean, did you notice how many times he, um, ”rearranged” himself during his performance?)
Do you think any of these stars have legitimate reasons for lashing out? And if so, how should they solve their beefs? Personally, I’d like to see ’em bring their grudges to the next season of Dancing With the Stars. You just know Fat Joe would rock the paso doble.
