You know you know who she is, and yet, more likely than not, whenever you see Missi Pyle, you invoke her Bringing Down the House costar Queen Latifah’s infamous line, ”Who dat?!” And as funny as Pyle is as the freakishly competitive Mrs. Beauregarde in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the fact that she’s hidden under a velour tracksuit and wacky bob probably means she’ll continue to be more a sought-after character actress than a household name.

Well, as Supernanny might say, that’s ”not a-sep-table.” So unless you want to spend some quality time on the naughty mat, you’d better join me for a Missi Pyle love-in here at PopWatch. Didn’t see either of her two aforementioned roles? Then feel free to praise Pyle’s work in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Soul Plane, Galaxy Quest, or one of her other dozen or so credits. All together now, ”Mis-si! Mis-si! Mis-si!”
