SPOILER ALERT: I’ve been known to stick my fingers in my ears and sing ”la la-la, I can’t hear you” when people bring up the subject of spoilers — especially when they’re about my favorite TV shows. But this morning, I wade into the dreaded territory of plot leaks and semi-substantiated casting news, if only to satisfy the gentle readers of PopWatch. (Well, also to ensure that I continue collecting a paycheck for watching advance episodes of Being Bobby Brown, but I digress.)

Anyhow, spoiler-haters, time to plug those ears. For the rest of you:

* Many of Lost‘s biggest mysteries — including what’s inside the hatch — will be addressed in its second season premiere, executive producer Damon Lindelof tells MediaVillage.com. Just don’t expect the hatch to yield aliens, a time-travel portal, or ”a ship they can blast off in.” And by season’s end, we’ll know why flight 815 went down. (Thanks to TV Barn for the link.)

* The pregnancy of Jennifer Garner (left) will be written into the story line on Alias, meaning she won’t miss a single episode of the series when it moves into the ultra-competitive Thursday, 8 p.m. timeslot this fall, facing The O.C., Joey, Everybody Hates Chris, Smallville (which is adding Buffy‘s James Marsters to the cast), and Survivor.

* And speaking of that last series, the rumor mill is buzzing about the latest set of Survivor castaways, currently getting their Tribal Council on in Guatemala. The Detroit Free Press reports former NFL quarterback Gary Hogeboom will be a contestant on the series, while RealityBlurred reports last season’s fan favorites, Stephenie LaGrossa and Bobby Jon Drinkard, will also make appearances in the upcoming season.
