Emmy snubs: It's all about Eva
Just like the Golden Globes, the Emmys apparently have a policy of ”see no Eva.” Desperate Housewives got 15 nominations this morning, including Best Actress nods for all its leading ladies — except Eva Longoria (left), that is. What’s up with that?
Since when does the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences take its cue from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association? Similarly, Will & Grace may be more noteworthy these days for its guest stars than its leads, but how did the Academy manage to nominate all the lead actors except Debra Messing? Also, how could the voters ignore everybody on Lost except Naveen Andrews and Terry O’Quinn? Or perennial Emmy winners Allison Janney and Martin Sheen on West Wing? Or everybody on CSI: Original Flavor? I’m sure some of your favorites were snubbed; please vent below.
On the other hand, the Emmys finally showed some love to Scrubs! Yay! And to Jeremy Piven on Entourage! OK, Emmy voters, I forgive you. Let’s hug it out…
