As has been rumored for months, Eddie Murphy is taking a plum supporting role in Dreamgirls, marking the first time in ages he’s made a movie that’s for grown-ups and that doesn’t involve talking animals…  After making a few movies such as Spider-Man 3 (due in summer 2007), Tobey Maguire will appear in the romantic comedy Quiet Type — in the non-speaking lead role as a mute who comes to New York with the dream of conducting an orchestra. You may wonder how a mute communicates with an orchestra when he hears a sour note.  But so far nobody’s talkin’.
