Looks like Ellen DeGeneres has two more reasons to dance, after sweeping best talk show host and best talk show honors — the latter trophy for the second straight year — at the Daytime Emmy awards on Friday night. DeGeneres, who compared her job to that of a bartender because ”it’s basically just sitting there and listening to people talking,” saw her show win a total of five Emmys this year.

In the soap opera category, General Hospital snagged best drama series for a record eighth time, but neither the best actress or best actor winner came from that program: Those trophies went to One Life to Live‘s Erika Slezak (for a record sixth time) and The Young and the Restless‘ Christian Jules LeBlanc.

Coming on the heels of a buzzworthy season featuring a 74-show win streak by contestant Ken Jennings, Jeopardy won best game show, but its host Alex Trebek lost the hosting trophy to first-time winner Meredith Vieira of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

ABC’s total of 12 Daytime Emmys led all networks, followed by PBS and CBS with 11 apiece.
