Had Juliette Lewis been going for a Monsters of Mock-Rock approach, her debut full-length, You’re Speaking My Language, might have been worth a giggle or two. But it seems as if she’s dead set on channeling a snarling Patti Smith rather than a smirking Jack Black. And so what we’re left with is an unintentionally amusing movie-star ego massage with all of the requisite posturing and nary a trace of self-aware wit.
