On Will & Grace, Megan Mullally’s Karen Walker probably doesn’t like to awaken before noon, but in real life, Mullally’s angling for a regular day job. According to the Hollywood Reporter, she’s in talks with NBC Universal Television (which also produces her sitcom) for a seven-figure deal that would have her hosting her own daytime talk show. The show would launch in fall 2006, after Will & Grace‘s upcoming eighth (and, it’s widely assumed, final) season, though the deal would allow the Emmy winner to do both shows if Karen and pals extend their run for a ninth season. Unlike her sitcom, the talk show would allow Mullally to show off her song-and-dance talents as well as her comic skills. Can’t wait to see her invite some giant M&Ms on stage for a soft-shoe number.
