Ex-ballerinas with Playmate bods, Alabama sister act the Pierces have that unmistakable show-room shine. If only their sophomore album were as easy on the ears as the siblings are on the eyes. Light of the Moon aims to be a soundtrack for the lovesick, complete with folk-chick vocals à la early Joni Mitchell, and Gwen Stefani-style moping in ballads like ”I Should’ve Known.” But most of it is so shticky-sweet, you may feel even worse after listening.
