A fight between dozens of people interrupted the second annual Vibe Awards Monday night, ending with one person stabbed, according to the Associated Press. The fight apparently began when an unidentified man at the Santa Monica, Calif., ceremony threw punches at producer/rapper Dr. Dre, MTV News reported. The unidentified 26-year-old man who was stabbed was hospitalized, and was in stable condition, according to AP.

The fight interrupted the show for 5 or 10 minutes, but it then proceeded. After the fight, Dr. Dre — who had been standing just offstage when it began — took the stage to accept his Vibe Legend Award as planned, and told the crowd he wouldn’t let the chaos bother him.

The awards show is set to air on UPN on Tuesday (Nov. 16) at 8 p.m.
