Nick Lachey will soon be hanging around some attractive sisters with mysterious gifts. No, not Jessica and Ashlee Simpson. It’s the Halliwell siblings, the three bewitching sisters on the WB’s ”Charmed.” According to the Hollywood Reporter, the MTV ”Newlyweds” star will appear in a guest role for six episodes next season as a ghostwriter who fills in for columnist Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) during her sabbatical and ends up falling in love with her.

”He’s very attractive, he’s got star power and, in looking at the tapes of the acting he’s done, he’s got a fresh take, a fresh look, and a natural way about him that translates into his performances,” producer Brad Kern told the Reporter. ”I feel strongly that it’s going to be a fun match with Alyssa Milano.” Besides, Lachey already knows what it’s like to hang around an all-female household. He played a handyman in a boarding house run by Gina Gershon and her teenage daughter in ”Hot Mamma,” a pilot that ABC declined to pick up for the fall.
