With their 2001 debut, Yesterday Was Dramatic — Today Is OK, Mum established themselves as the cutest avatars of glitchcore, weaving music-box melodies between fuzzy beats. Their third album catches the Icelandic trio at awkward adolescence — brooding, listless, and too enamored with recording creepy found sounds (gusty wind, creaky wood). It doesn’t help that it’s dominated by Kristin Anna Valtysdottir’s vocals, which sound like the coos of a Teletubby.
