Arrest me, baby, one more time. That’s what police did to Daniel Jacques Lachance, a 25-year-old from Quebec, who was jailed Tuesday night for allegedly trespassing and stalking Britney Spears on the grounds of a Spears family residence in Kentwood, La. It was the second time this month cops had arrested Lachance at the Spears home; he was also taken in on April 12 on a trespassing charge, sheriff’s department spokeswoman Patti Giannoble told the Associated Press. As of Wednesday, he was being held on $150,000 bond in the Tangipahoa Parish jail. ”He was trying to locate Britney,” Giannoble said.

Of course, if Lachance were a truly ardent fan, he’d know that the home is one of several Spears family residences in the area, that it’s where her father, Jamie Spears, lives, and that the singer herself is almost never there. In fact, this week, she’s on tour in Europe. Lachance, you need to read more often, mon ami.
