Would you like to smell like Britney Spears? You’ll be able to soon, thanks to a new licensing deal announced Friday by Spears and Elizabeth Arden Inc. The singer is currently traveling on her Onyx Hotel concert tour, but she will somehow find time to develop her own cosmetics line, including a fragrance due in department stores this fall. The company said in a statement that the busy pop star would be ”personally involved in all aspects of product development, in order to bring her own style and personality to the fragrance, packaging and marketing.”

”I love perfume and cosmetics,” Spears said in the statement, ”and am so excited to develop my own line with Elizabeth Arden.” Said Elizabeth Arden president Paul West: ”We are delighted to be working with Britney Spears. She is a talented, fashionable woman who appeals to a young and international consumer base.” The Britney line will also include skin care products and color cosmetics. Because you want to look your best even at spur-of-the-moment events like Las Vegas weddings.
