Never mind that the Fuse! hardly budge from their breakneck pace — their frantic beat manages to be danceable, making for heady, oddly accessible spazzcore. When the California trio finally slows down, it’s for spectral blues (”The Fallen Samaritan”) that make the White Stripes sound as slick as Santana. The Fuse! may prefer anonymity (they go by F-1, F-2, and F-3), but their CD is packed with personality — albeit of the ferocious kind.
