Ozzy Osbourne was ”stable and comfortable” Tuesday morning after suffering an all-terrain vehicle accident that fractured a neck vertebra, his left collarbone, and eight ribs, according to the Associated Press. The star underwent emergency surgery to repair a blood vessel injured in the incident, AP reported.

But Dr. Dick Jack of Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, England, where Osbourne is being treated, told the wire service that the singer will recover. ”This is not a major problem,” he said. Doctors will reevaluate Osbourne’s injuries — suffered while riding an ATV around his estate in Southern England — later on Tuesday, according to AP.

An MTV spokesperson told the wire service that it was too soon to say how the incident would affect ”The Osbournes,” or whether it would be included on the show. On Monday, Osbourne told the Los Angeles Times that his slurred speech and shuffling walk in the second season of MTV’s show were caused by a doctor’s alleged overprescription of medicine. But he added that his symptoms have since been treated.
