At the ninth annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (which aired Nov. 19 on CBS), winged supermodels once again made the world safe for rhinestone thongs.

Nov. 12: Victoria’s Secret Manhattan headquarters

3:45 P.M. Frenzied seamstresses and publicists flutter about, but Gisele Bundchen is a sea of calm: ”Sometimes I worry about the wings. Not to, like, hurt anyone with them,” she says.

4:20 P.M. Tyra Banks arrives and shares a Victoria’s secret: ”My best friend is a bit of fabric covering my booty. Y’all will never see my booty because there’s a couple dimples back there.”

Nov. 13: Backstage at the Lexington Avenue Armory. (Tickets for the red-hot show went for at least $12,500 at auction.)

6 P.M. Naomi Campbell holds court. Minions coo over her bejeweled bandage, covering a porcupine-quill-induced wound on her middle finger. (Don’t ask.)

7:20 P.M. Heidi Klum discusses a hazard of the trade: ”My feet are very slim, so I have to get double-stick tape, otherwise I slide right through [my shoes].”

8 P.M. Showtime! After a flurry of air kisses and lip-gloss reapplication, the girls are set to dazzle the likes of Tommy Lee, Pharrell Williams, and Candace Bushnell.
