Conan O’Brien will be spending a lot of late nights with a new young lady. Her name is Neve O’Brien, and she was born to the ”Late Night” host and his wife Liza on Tuesday afternoon, weighing in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces. The infant, delivered at a New York City hospital, is the first child for the couple.

O’Brien met the former Liza Powel in 2000 when she was an advertising executive who appeared in a sketch with other members of her firm, hired to create a parodic commercial for ”Late Night.” They married in January 2002.

The birth meant the last-minute substitution of a rerun for Tuesday’s scheduled episode, where the host was to have interviewed Halle Berry. But Conan’s getting a very short paternity leave: NBC says he’s due back behind his desk on Thursday.
