And this one time? At band camp? I got married? And I landed a sitcom deal with NBC? Both on the same weekend? OK, Alyson Hannigan may not have put the news like that herself, but still, it was a busy and happy weekend in the Buffyverse. On Monday, as the trade papers reported that NBC had signed a development deal with the former ‘”Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actress, her reps confirmed to E! Online that she’d married onetime ”Buffy” costar Alexis Denisof over the weekend.

There were no details about the nuptials, the first for both the ”American Wedding” actress and the actor who played Wesley on ”Buffy” (and continues to play the role on ”Angel”). Hannigan, 29, and Denisof, 37, met on the ”Buffy” set four years ago and became engaged in January.

Details were also scarce about the 2004 sitcom Hannigan is developing, since writers are still pitching scripts, according to the Hollywood Reporter. NBC casting vice president Marc Hirschfeld told the Reporter, ”She has such a natural effervescence, she brought into ‘Buffy’ a real sense of humor to the role of Willow, and between that and the ‘American Pie’ movies, where she’s so winning, we really think that this is the right time for her to try a half-hour comedy.” Let’s just hope the show doesn’t involve witchcraft or flutes.
