Police in Los Angeles picked up Courtney Love on Thursday — twice. She was arrested early in the morning after allegedly breaking the windows of former manager and boyfriend Jim Barber’s house in an attempt to enter the residence, the New York Daily News reports. Just 40 minutes after she was booked, paid bail, and was released, police and paramedics in Beverly Hills responded to a second call and found the rocker/actress had apparently overdosed and took her to a local hospital, the Los Angeles Times reports.

In the earlier incident, Los Angeles police told the Times she admitted to having smashed the windows in an effort to enter the house. She was arrested on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance, posted $2,500 bail, and was released at 5:30 a.m. At 6:10, Beverly Hills police and paramedics found a woman at another home — law enforcement sources told the Times it was Love — who was under the influence of a controlled substance and took her to Century City Hospital. She had been discharged by Thursday afternoon, the Times reports.

Love has a history of unruly incidents, most recently, getting detained by British police and being issued a formal caution after an alleged air-rage spat on a flight to London in February. Neither Love, Barber, nor her publicists or record label could be reached for comment, the Times and Daily News reported. And Love’s reps were unavailable for comment to at press time.
