It wouldn’t be the first time a much-married movie star got hitched to another husband at Michael Jackson’s place. Elizabeth Taylor got married for the eighth time at Neverland in 1991, when she wed Larry Fortensky. Nonetheless, Neverland will not be the site of the nuptials of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, the King of Pop’s rep says. Despite reports that the couple plan to wed on Sunday in the Santa Barbara area, Jackson publicist Stuart Backerman tells E! Online he’s been busy shooting down rumors that J. Lo will wed at Jacko’s joint. ”There is no celebrity wedding scheduled to take place on the property during the event,” he says.

The event he’s referring to is Jackson’s charity dinner, scheduled for Saturday, a day before the Lopez-Affleck wedding is expected to take place. Nearly 500 people have spent $5,000 per couple to attend the benefit party at Jackson’s ranch/amusement park.

So where are Jen and Ben tying the knot? According to a new report in Us Weekly, both the wedding and the reception will take place at Sotto Il Monte, a $29 million estate in Montecito. So will the rehearsal-dinner barbecue on Saturday night. The couple will share their first dance as husband and wife on a transparent dance floor, which is being built over the estate’s swimming pool. ABC News, however, quotes the mother of another bride as saying that the Lopez-Affleck event is happening at Santa Barbara’s Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel. Vivian Terhark says the hotel has told guests at her daughter Julie Ann’s wedding, also scheduled for Sept. 14, to carry their invitations at all times, lest they be mistaken for crashers of the celebrity reception. Both accounts supersede earlier reports that indicated the reception and honeymoon would take place at Santa Barbara’s Bacara resort.

In any case, it’s probably a good thing that the wedding’s not happening at Neverland. Liz and Larry didn’t last, and neither did the last couple at whose wedding Michael Jackson served as best man: David Gest and Liza Minnelli.
