If you’re one of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s 400 closest friends and relatives, chances are you got a phone call on Thursday asking you to clear your schedule for the second weekend in September. So says Us Weekly, which reports that the couple’s long-anticipated wedding will take place on Sept. 14. Though the couple’s publicists have declined comment, New York Daily News gossip columnist George Rush says he’s confirmed the date with some of their friends, and New York Post gossip columnist Cindy Adams also reports that invitees have been told to keep next weekend free.

Despite earlier rumors (some generated by Affleck himself) that the wedding would take place in Affleck’s hometown of Boston, on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, or at the couple’s new mansion near Savannah, Ga., Us Weekly reports that the reception will be held at an estate in Santa Barbara, ”maybe at a winery.” (That’s not far from Calabasas, Calif., where Lopez wed second husband Cris Judd two years ago.) Catering the reception would be Santa Barbara’s Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel, where the couple dined two weeks ago. Ben’s brother Casey Affleck (”Ocean’s Eleven”) is expected to be his best man, and Matt Damon, Carrie Fisher, Bruce Willis, Matthew Perry and Alec Baldwin are expected to be among the 400 guests. That’s almost as many people as saw ”Gigli.”
