We gave it an A-

Singer-songwriter Witmer is man enough to admit he didn’t listen to Nick Drake and John Martyn as an aspiring troubadour but, in fact, was reared on the popular acoustic rock canon. This album is a lovely homage to that canon’s artists (Neil Young, Carole King, Jackson Browne, and others), a poignant journey through the past. Witmer’s wispy, rice-paper arrangements keep things understated and uncomplicated, and the album is a tribute to the songs and his own spot-on instincts.
