Watch your back, Britney Spears. You’re not the only pop star-actress trying to break into the TV talk show business. According to the New York Daily News, Jennifer Lopez and Universal Television are developing a daytime show along the lines of ABC’s ”The View,” but with a younger and hipper panel of women. Hosting the program would be Lopez’s sister, New York TV and radio personality Lynda Lopez. The show would likely debut in the fall of 2004.

Like Spears, who this week announced her own planned chatfest, Jennifer Lopez would produce the show but appear on it only occasionally. ”You can expect her to make appearances during ratings sweeps months,” a producer told the Daily News. Just so long as it keeps her too busy to make ”Gigli 2: Turkey Time.”
