Never mind scenes: One Bond girl is borrowing his screenwriters to boot. Halle Berry, who went toe to toe with Pierce Brosnan in last year?s ”Die Another Day,” will star in a movie based on her feisty special agent character Jinx, according to SciFi Wire. The screenplay has been penned by ”Die” writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. ”We just got the script last night, the first script,” Berry said Saturday at the Comic-Con International convention in San Diego.

No word on what mischief Jinx might be up to in her own film, but don?t expect her character to be ordering her martinis shaken, not stirred. ”I?ve been talking to the writers about it, and they had a great idea for who she is and where she comes from, and I think it won?t be like Bond,” she said, adding that the film will add some edginess to the mix. As for the endless sexual innuendoes of the Bond series, Berry may be too busy kicking butt to engage in witty repartee: ?I think we?ll have elements of that humor Bond has,? she said. ”But it won?t be as tongue-in-cheek.” Well, at least Berry will get to claw the scenery in her next film: ”Catwoman,” the big-screen version of the DC Comics character, begins filming this fall.
