COMIC BOOKS Ready for a movie — turned — comic book — turned — movie? Hoping to release a third film by 2006, the team behind Escape From New York and Escape From L.A. have launched John Carpenter’s Snake Plissken Chronicles, a comic book following Kurt Russell’s Escape character. Says producer Debra Hill: ”We’re reinventing Snake because you need to have a comic-book hero these days to really launch a movie.” Yes, friends, we’re living in a golden age of cinema!
