''CSI'''s William Petersen ties the knot. He and longtime girlfriend, former schoolteacher Gina Cirrone, wed in Italy

You’d have thought William Petersen would have gotten married in Vegas. But no, he just works there. Instead, the ”CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” star went to Europe to get hitched, the Associated Press reports. The actor’s spokesperson told AP he wed his longtime girlfriend, former schoolteacher Gina Cirrone, on Saturday in Petrignano, Italy.

The spokesperson offered no details about the ceremony, only that the couple, who live in Los Angeles, were currently honeymooning in Europe. In any case, that should be a nice change for Petersen, 50, who is best known for playing intense, guarded sleuths like ”CSI”’s Gil Grissom, the reckless-driving Secret Service agent trailing Willem Dafoe in 1985’s ”To Live and Die in L.A.,” and FBI profiler Will Graham in the 1986 ”Silence of the Lambs” precursor ”Manhunter.”
