The Oscars may never have 175 nubile schoolgirls stripping down to their skivvies during the musical medley segment, but that’s exactly what makes the MTV Movie Awards (taped to air Thursday, June 5, 9 p.m.) so darn special. This year’s shindig, hosted by Justin Timberlake and ”American Pie” alum Seann William Scott, features plenty of such Oscar-unworthy scenes, ranging from t.A.T.u.’s strip show to a rap acceptance speech from Eminem to an obscenity-spewing Gollum.

To kick off the evening, Scott and Timberlake download themselves into a parody of ”The Matrix Reloaded,” in which ”Wanda at Large” star Wanda Sykes plays a booty-shaking Oracle and Timberlake rocks his body while Scott becomes a herd of Stifflers, à la Agent Smith.

As one might expect, Eminem doesn’t take his wins for Best Male Performance and Male Breakthrough Performance (for ”8 Mile”) too seriously. Via videotape, he snidely marvels that he won the Breakthrough award over un-nominated ”Glitter” star and current fuedmate Mariah Carey, then raps his acceptance for Best Male by chanting, ”I got Male!”

Other memorable acceptance speeches include a potty-mouthed diatribe from Best Virtual Performance winner Gollum, who insults the audience, his costars, and MTV itself. Yoda, who levitates to accept his award for Best Fight with Christopher Lee, is more Jedi-like, making jokes and politely stopping the orchestra from playing send-off music in the middle of his speech.

Later, an out-of-his-element Harrison Ford makes a brief appearance with ”Hollywood Homicide” costar Josh Hartnett; and those randy t.A.T.u. girls perform a medley of ”Not Gonna Get Us” and ”All the Things She Said” as 175 dancers whip off their clothes to prance around in tank tops and briefs. Take that, Oscar.
