Seth Green is getting back into the monster business. The actor, who, as teenage werewolf Oz, was part of the ad hoc ”Scooby gang” of demon hunters on TV’s ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” will meet the original Scooby gang — and reunite with ”Buffy” star Sarah Michelle Gellar — when he costars in ”Scooby-Doo 2,” the live-action sequel to last summer’s hit mystery-comedy.

Green, who may be best known for his role as would-be villain Scott Evil in the ”Austin Powers” movies, will play Patrick, the mysterious curator of the Coolsonian Criminology Museum, Variety reports. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the sequel plot has Scooby, Shaggy (Matthew Lillard), Daphne (Gellar), and the rest of those meddling kids confronting a masked villain whose monster machine creates ghouls familiar from the animated series, including the Creeper, Captain Cutler, and the 10,000-Volt Ghost. Shooting begins next Monday, April 14, in Vancouver, with a release date of March 26, 2004.
