”My mom always said, ‘Beauty is what you do,”’ Halle Berry tells People magazine. Guess she must be doing something right, since she made the cover of People’s annual ”50 Most Beautiful People” issue, which hits the stands this weekend. Berry has made the list seven times; once more, and she’ll tie the record held by Julia Roberts, who makes the list for the eighth time this year.

Many of those on this year’s list come in groups of two or more. To get on the list this year, it helped, for instance, to be a member of the cast of ”X2: X-Men United” (Berry, Hugh Jackman) or ”Daredevil” (Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Colin Farrell); a power couple (Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, Usher and Chilli); a power family (the Olsen twins, Susan Sarandon and daughter Eva Amurri, classical musicians Angella, Lucia, and Maria Ahn); an NBC comedy star (Jennifer Aniston, Mark Feuerstein, Eric McCormack, Tina Fey); a singer with a famous dad (Lisa Marie Presley, Norah Jones); or a star of this year’s Oscar gala (Diane Lane, Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Julianne Moore, Queen Latifah, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Steve Martin). The full list is online at People’s website.
